Principal Solutions Architect SME

Overview

SilverEdge Government Solutions is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect for leadership position demands an exceptional strategist who will architect and deliver mission-critical defense solutions. The role requires a distinguished professional with proven expertise in full-stack engineering, enterprise architecture, and demonstrated success leading large-scale DOD initiatives. This position serves as a technical authority, driving architectural decisions that shape a technological future while ensuring alignment with DOD's cybersecurity objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering or related technical field with 10+ years of experience, or 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working within the SAFe Agile framework
• Expert-level knowledge in DOD cyber operations and/or defense systems
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and guide enterprise-wide architectural initiatives and technical teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Deep expertise in NIST frameworks, RMF, and DOD security standars
• An Active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required to support this effort 

Desired Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in secure software development practices
• Mastery of cloud-native architectures and zero-trust principles
• Expert knowledge of DevSecOps practices within classified environments
• Familiarity with multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on expertise with microservices architecture and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong experience with modern software development languages and frameworks (Python, Java, .NET, React, Angular, Node.js).
• Experience with the following are also preferred (NoSQL data basing, Gitlab/Github, Kafka, RESTful APIs or OpenAPI/Swagger)
