YOUR ROLE
The Senior IT Audit Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT audits and advisory projects across the enterprise. This position ensures that IT systems, infrastructure, and processes are secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
What you will be doing
The Senior IT Audit Manager will assist the IT Audit Director in managing the planning, execution and reporting of the Genworth IT Internal Audit program.
- Develop and execute risk-based audit and advisory plans, including scoping, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Ensure timely completion of audits and high-quality deliverables in line with internal standards and IIA guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of long-term audit strategies, including automation, data analytics, and advisory services.
- Assist with the annual risk assessment and development of the audit plan, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk priorities and regulatory expectations.
- Build strong relationships with IT leadership and business partners to enhance audit effectiveness and communication, while serving as a trusted advisor on IT risks, controls, and compliance matters.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and governance committees.
- Ensure timely, high-quality assurance and advisory engagement results and associated documentation that conforms to Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards.
- Supervise and mentor staff and senior auditors, providing coaching and performance feedback.
- Stay informed about technology and related topics affecting Genworth, and encourage ongoing improvement, technical skill-building, and professional development.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, accounting or another applicable field
- 7 or more years of relevant work experience, preferably within the financial services industry - Other industries are acceptable, provided that the candidate possesses appropriate skills for the position
- Internal and/or external IT audit or risk management experience
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of risk assessments, internal controls and related technical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Strong critical thinking, project management and relationship management capabilities
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certifications are preferred - Will consider other certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.
