About the Team:

The Cloud IAM team (Operations and Engineering) is responsible for not only executing on provisioning permissions and other access patterns in the cloud (Azure and AWS), but also certifying that the existing patterns are valid and follow the principle of least access privilege. The team leverages their expertise in adapting to new demands and tooling in order to keep the institution secure.

Impact (Job Summary/Why this Role Matters)

Cloud IAM Operations is instrumental in meeting the demands of the company’s IT organization. IAM is the foundation of any workload that exists in a cloud environment, making it imperative that the patterns put in place match their intended purpose. Accurate provisioning of IAM resources will prevent security incidents and accelerate innovation at the institution.

Key Deliverables (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Provide Cloud IAM Operations coverage during IST working hours and ensure that operations queue is clean prior to end of each shift.
• Monitor and remediate cloud resources for security control compliance 
• Support production deployments that are scheduled during IST working hours.
• Action Cloud IAM operations tasks such as credential management
• Troubleshoot errors that IT teams determine are related to IAM setup.
• (Nice to have) Review Terraform code merge requests
• Manage internal stakeholders

Skills and Qualification

Functional Skills:

• Organization: Can handle shifting priorities based on IT demands.
• Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in creating and maintaining documentation.
• Problem Solving: Handle escalated issues, create and manage threat detection rules, and perform root cause analysis.
• Self-starter: Demonstrates initiative on independent assignments
• Humility: Ability to recognize when assistance is needed from colleagues.

Technical/Business Skills:

• Working knowledge of IAM components in AWS
• Working knowledge of IAM components in Entra/Azure
• Conceptual understanding of Terraform file structure
• Aware of Industry standard best practices for IAM
• Proficiency in tracking work with Issue tracking systems like Jira/ServiceNow.
• Nice to have:
  Working knowledge of Wiz.io CPSM tool.
• Cyberark Experience
