The Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s digital assets and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards, enabling secure and resilient business operations. As a key member of our Information Security leadership team, you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive GRC strategy that strengthens our cybersecurity posture and fosters a culture of risk awareness and compliance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive GRC strategy and roadmap in partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer.
  • Lead the organization’s technology-focused risk management program, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance efforts, including SOX and PCI, and ensure alignment with industry standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
  • Direct third-party risk management and maintain an enterprise-wide risk register with actionable metrics.
  • Conduct compliance and control assessments to proactively identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Legal, and Operations teams to embed risk and compliance practices across the organization.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance and risk management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of GRC professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Report on governance and risk program effectiveness to executive leadership.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, law, or a related field required; Master’s degree or certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards including SOX, PCI, NIST CSF, and SOC 2.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with GRC tools and technologies is a plus.
  • Demonstrates key competencies including strategic thinking, collaboration, and decision-making.


Your Team

This is a leadership role that will report to the Chief Information Security Officer. You will have four or more direct reports and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Director, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world-class technology center.

Our corporate office locations:
