Your Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor compliance with corporate security procedures, standards and policies while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of physical security at Schaeffler sites. This could include, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Develop and manage operations of physical security processes, access controls, visitor management, key management, intrusion detection systems, security incident response.
  • Conduct physical security surveys and blueprint reviews and make recommendations to enhance security and protection of company facilities and assets.
  • Administer and coordinate contract security guard services to ensure that the contracted company provides its services at a quality level which conforms with internal standards/requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of corporate security procedures and processes to ensure proper enforcement.
  • Investigate and report security incidents, including but not limited to, theft, attack on persons/property, sabotage, threats, workplace violence, emergency situations, and illegal activities in accordance with local legal requirements, company policies and protocols. Assist and cooperate with local law enforcement in external investigations where required.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all level of staff and management to ensure that there is a culture of security and compliance.
  • Undertake additional security-related tasks as required by the Plant Manager and the Regional Security Manager. If necessary, this may include liaising with the police, fire brigade and other related government authorities.
  • Local responsible budget planning and cost monitoring within security infrastructure and services.

Your Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree of recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. Relevant certifications desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant corporate security experience in a similarly sized business
  • Demonstrated experience in security risk management in the areas of physical security, emergency response, business continuity management, crisis management, incident management, executive protection, travel security and security awareness programs.
  • Good understanding of information and cyber security, and data protection, or willingness to learn these topics
  • Experience in the performance of risk and control assessments, security concepts, and security reviews, or with the aptitude and willingness to learn these topics
  • Good interpersonal, communication, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Good at English
