Oracle offers a comprehensive and fully integrated stack of cloud applications and cloud platform services.The Oracle Security CTO group is seeking a Hardware Security Architect (IC6) to safeguard Oracle’s global hardware supply chain and architect the next generation of security solutions for Oracle Cloud. In this influential, hands-on role, you will collaborate with external vendors to enhance hardware security industry-wide, lead the design of custom security modules, and ensure Oracle Cloud’s infrastructure stays resilient and trusted.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical acumen in hardware security with a collaborative, innovative mindset, and the ability to influence vendors and Oracle engineering teams alike.
- Define and implement strategies to secure Oracle’s global hardware supply chain from emerging threats.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors and industry partners to establish and adopt leading security enhancements for the benefit of Oracle and the broader ecosystem.
- Design, prototype, and oversee the deployment of custom security hardware and modules to protect Oracle Cloud infrastructure and customer data.
- Assess and improve hardware trust mechanisms, including secure boot, attestation, tamper resistance, and hardware root-of-trust.
- Serve as a technical advisor and influencer to Oracle engineering teams, establishing hardware security best practices and standards.
- Represent Oracle in industry and standards organizations, driving collaborative security advancements.
- Proactively identify hardware security risks and lead the development of mitigation strategies ahead of emerging threats.
- Mentor teams and foster a culture of security-first hardware and platform design across Oracle’s engineering organizations.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
