We are looking for an IT Security Administrator who will be a member of a global Cybersecurity team responsible for ensuring day-to-day security of ADTRAN’s information systems, maintaining and enhancing them. You will be reacting to signals generated by ADTRAN’s corporate security tools or reported by customers, investigating anomalies and responding to security incidents within the organization. 

Your other tasks and responsibilities 

  • Responding to security incidents observed in the corporate environment

  • Monitoring, maintaining and improving ADTRAN’s information security systems and services and policies

  • Investigating anomalous events detected in the environment, conducting Root Cause Analyses and preparing post-incident reports

  • Collaborating closely with internal customers such as the IT Team and Business stakeholders

  • Providing advisory services on implementing information security best practices throughout the organization

  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the company

Your profile  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable studies  

  • 1-5 years of prior experience in IT System Administration / IT Network Administration / IT Helpdesk or equivalent technology fields 

  • Foundational IT knowledge (networking, email and communication technologies, OS architecture, directory services, user identification mechanisms and protocols). Advanced knowledge in any of those fields will be a plus

  • Analytical and investigative mindset 

  • Interest in cybersecurity best practices, trends and threats organizations need to face 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)

  • Drive to learn new technologies and concepts as requirements evolve 

  • Willingness to attend various educational and trade related events
