Being the third largest city in New South Wales and only an hour from Sydney, Wollongong is a vibrant city that offers the perfect Australian lifestyle.

Almost 10,000 students commence at the University of Wollongong (UOW) each year. They are supported by staff working in teaching, research, and professional services, who all play a vital role within the Illawarra, enriching its culture, diversity and economy.

The Information Management Technology Services (IMTS) division is the University’s central information management and technology service provider for core infrastructure and services and is responsible for the development and

management of information and communications technology resources in response to research, teaching and corporate requirements.

This senior technical role supports the design, implementation, and enhancement of cyber security controls across a broad range of domains, including enterprise architecture, incident response, risk and compliance, data protection, and security culture.

As part of the IMTS Cyber Security team, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to assess vulnerabilities, improve governance, and deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with UOW’s strategic goals. UOW is proud to foster a safe, inclusive and equitable workplace. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences.
