Description

The Associate Security Analyst supports the monitoring, investigation, and response to security incidents across Cloud5’s infrastructure and client environments. This entry-level role works under the guidance of senior analysts to ensure systems are secure, alerts are triaged, and vulnerabilities are addressed. This is a remote role available to applicants based in the continental U.S.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM and other tools
• Triage and escalate potential threats according to playbooks
• Assist in incident investigations and documentation
• Support vulnerability scans and patch management efforts
• Maintain up-to-date records of tickets, incidents, and system statuses

Qualifications

 

• 1–2 years of IT or cybersecurity experience, or relevant education
• Familiarity with network and endpoint security concepts
• Understanding of firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience with SIEM platforms or security tools is a plus

WORK CONDITIONS

• Remote work with on-call availability as needed
• May require after-hours support for critical incident response

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer
• Able to communicate effectively and document project updates accurately
• Capable of managing multiple administrative and coordination tasks simultaneously
