We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Security Specialist to join our Security Architecture and Tool Engineering team. This role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise security solutions and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in information security, a passion for engineering secure systems, and the ability to collaborate across teams to enhance the organization’s security posture.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of enterprise security architecture and engineering standards.
  • Support the implementation and integration of security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IAM, and cloud security platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure security is embedded in infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of new security tools and technologies, providing recommendations for adoption.
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships and ongoing communication with cross-functional teams including IT, DevOps, Risk Management, Business Units, Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit to integrate security into all aspects of technology and business operations
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security tool configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor and tune security tools to ensure optimal performance and threat detection capabilities.
  • Participate in security assessments, architecture reviews, and incident response efforts as needed.
  • Work closely with IT, DevOps, and application teams to support secure development and deployment practices.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security engineering or architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms (e.g., Sumo Logic, Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto, Qualys, Carbon Black, AWS security services).
  • Solid understanding of security principles, network protocols, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Team player that is appropriately assertive and can gain consensus for her/his views.
  • Emotional maturity with the ability to generate the confidence and credibility of colleagues, customers and business partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for achievement and ability to drive results individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to listen to other points of view and adjust courses based on business circumstances collaboratively.
  • Self-confident with a positive style that takes personal responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High in transparency, integrity and ethical standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, SSCP, AWS/Azure Security, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred.
