Responsibilities

This is a multifaceted role that spans accounting, financial reporting, including both cash flow and balance sheet analysis, and business partnering. As the Control and Reporting Associate Manager you will drive process improvements, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and maintain accounting and financial compliance.

 

The role of the Control and Reporting Associate Manager is to provide the organization with accurate and timely reporting of PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) cash flow and balance sheet.  Additionally, through the understanding of the Accounting and Financial Reporting, drive process efficiencies and ensure effective controls are in place to mitigate financial risk, as well as having the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the company.

 

The role will report to the PBNA Control and Reporting Senior Manager and responsibilities include:

  • Periodic and Daily Reporting:
    • Review and submission of the PBNA internal Cash Flow to Corporate
    • Prepare and post cash flow unwinds for reporting, coordinate balance sheet and cash flow transactions across different Sectors, and submit cash flow unwind explanations to the Corporate Control team
    • Review and completion of the PBNA Balance Sheet, including review of the supporting P, Q and A schedules for submission to Corporate
  • Manage the periodic consolidated balance sheet analysis
  • Assist in analysis for PBNA actuals and preparation of additional Corporate schedules
  • Quarterly Reporting:
    • Ensure SOX compliance including documentation of quarterly testing/walkthroughs
    • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly balance sheet review, which is presented to senior management
  • Prepare the quarterly Corporate Cash Flow Checklist
  • Key contact for KPMG audit requests and Corporate inquiries/deliverables/forecast support
  • Ad Hoc Projects/Research:
    • Subject matter expert over P, Q and A schedule reporting in PBNA HFM application
    • Coordination with HFM team for changes in schedules driven by Corporate or by internal needs
    • Ad hoc analysis and research related to Cash Flow and Balance Sheet related transactions
    • Search for efficiencies and overall process improvements

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience in financial accounting with some public accounting experience (Big Four preferred)
  • CPA preferred

Work Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience with progressive responsibility

Skills & Capabilities

  • Motivated individual capable of working independently to achieve goals
  • Strong analytical skills, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn and utilize multiple systems
  • Experience with HFM and SAP preferred
  • Team player with ability to work with a variety of internal and external clients in a consultative role, and establish and maintain productive relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and react with urgency
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
