Help safeguard our organization and its people by managing cybersecurity risks and policy exceptions that impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data and systems. Play a central role in ensuring that cybersecurity exceptions are thoughtfully reviewed, accurately documented, and effectively tracked. Assess risks, facilitate conversations around mitigation strategies, and promote adherence to cybersecurity best practices. Review, assess, and manage day-to-day cybersecurity exception requests from internal and client team stakeholders. Facilitate risk-based discussions to evaluate the impact of proposed exceptions and ensure alignment with business needs. Track and monitor exception lifecycles, enforce expiration and review policies, and ensure accountability. Support the development, refinement, and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and risk management frameworks. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Security Architecture, IT, and various business units, to ensure exception processes are well understood and consistently followed. Analyze trends and metrics related to risk and exceptions to identify process improvement opportunities. Contribute to automation initiatives that streamline exception handling, reporting, and decision-making. Help drive the adoption of risk-aware behaviors and the continuous improvement of our exception management program. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or GRC roles within a complex enterprise environment
Experience working with GRC tools, such as Archer and ServiceNow
Experience automating or optimizing processes using technology or scripting tools
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, industry frameworks, and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of security policy development, enforcement, and lifecycle management
Ability to be analytical and problem solve
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate across departments and influence without authority
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with system security plans and compliance requirements
Experience in risk identification, quantification, assessment, and reporting
Experience in MS Office Pro Suite and SharePoint
Experience as a Cyber Risk advisor
Experience in executing an enterprise policy exception program
Possession of a passion for promoting a proactive, risk-aware culture within an organization
Bachelor’s degree in a cybersecurity-related field
CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
