The position is located at the Volvo Car Kosice plant and reports to the local Site IT Infrastructure Manager. You will be part of the local team with the main focus on the Kosice plant, but also interface with global plant infrastructure product, having a global manufacturing digital responsibility.   

What you'll do

  • Utilize strong Information Technology mindset and previous experience with digital infrastructure domains;
  • Build on our future global plant infrastructure IT landscape and participate in delivering global digital infrastructure solutions according to the global standards;
  • Bear E2E responsibility for the overall health of our digital infrastructure at the site;
  • Take the technical lead for our digital infrastructure and guide technical decisions;
  • Ensure stability and resilience by taking full ownership of the solutions being created, deployed, and operated at the site;
  • Act as the local cybersecurity contact for governing digital-related activities;
  • Respond to incidents and secure problem resolution;
  • Drive upgrades, patching and lifecycle management;
  • Secure smooth and resilient deployment of new technologies;
  • Being a strategic partner to the local team, with the prospect of leading one;
  • Interface and collaborate with colleagues in other departments, vendors, and suppliers to be on top of current and future needs, ensure seamless infrastructure service delivery and harmonize local digital solutions to global standards;
  • Share knowledge and experience, and offer training accordingly, to improve the capability and competence of local engineers.

What you'll bring

  • Several years of previous working experience managing the daily IT infrastructure operations within one or more digital infrastructure domains in a similar position, preferably having experience with agile development practices and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps or similar;
  • Preferred university education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, as well as additional qualifications in the form of relevant certifications such as: CCNP, CISSP, CISM, MS Certified AZ/SC, CompTIA (A+, Security+), ITIL;
  • Flexibility working outside of standard business hours in the form of on-call duty, to some extent, later, once operations are established;
  • Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, conversational in English and Slovak language, written and spoken (B2);
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have the capacity to identify, mitigate, and decide on solutions when facing obstacles in your assignment;
  • Willingness to develop a T-shaped profile and continuously strive to develop skillsets and keep pace with new technologies;
  • Passion to build on our future global plant infrastructure IT landscape;
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Europe, although based in Košice District, Slovakia.

Compensation Data

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.200 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
