You’ll manage a globally distributed team responsible for 24x7 operations across data centers, VMware, cloud (OCI), and on-prem infrastructure. The role requires strong technical depth, vendor and stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, automation, and compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years in IT operations; 6+ years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on expertise in VMware, Linux/Windows, cloud (OCI preferred), and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience managing 24x7 environments and distributed teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, OCI, VMware, RHCE, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers responsible for 24x7 compute operations across multiple time zones.
  • Drive operational maturity, incident/change/problem management, and SLA adherence.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted voice and escalation point for your team, supporting their growth, performance, and engagement.
  • Oversee VMware, cloud, and infrastructure services with a focus on uptime and automation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and represent the team to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to standardize platforms and reduce operational toil.
  • Present metrics, roadmaps, and improvement plans to executive stakeholders clearly and confidently.
  • Align with security, compliance, product, and engineering leaders to ensure operational and business goals are met.
