WithSecure™ is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic Products organization. You will be part of the engineering team behind WithSecure™ Elements incident response capabilities. This team designs and builds the core response technology that empowers both our internal teams and customers to detect, investigate, and mitigate cyber threats effectively.

In this role you will be part of an agile development team, with end-to-end ownership of features spanning our backends (AWS) and multi-platform endpoint software (Windows, Linux, macOS). Your focus will be ensuring high standards of software quality, security and resilience, contributing to DevOps practices, and continuously improving team practices. This role demands a balance of technical depth, collaboration, and a passion for continuous improvement in a rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape. The responsibilities of a QA Engineer are diverse, and you will be able to lean on your key strengths, we place emphasis on automation and AI skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Automated Infrastructure: Design, build and maintain a fast and reliable CI/CD infrastructure that supports the engineering team at any stage of development.
• Test Strategy and Coverage: Define, implement, and maintain effective testing strategies across cloud and endpoint components, including integration, system, and regression testing.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate internal and external issues, triage severity, and apply necessary workarounds to unblock users and developers.
• Software Quality Processes: Improve team processes, ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Observability and Data: Ensure testability and observability of complex systems operating in real-world cybersecurity conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in building and maintaining automation infrastructure of modern CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and other programming languages
• Deep understanding of the state-of-the-art software quality practices and realizing them with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ansible, etc.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and virtualization in the context of test automation
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Key Competencies

• Harnessing the Power of AI: Proficiency in utilizing AI tools in test creation, automation, daily productivity, etc. Enthusiastic but thoughtful approach to utilizing AI on real world applications.
• Automation & CI/CD Fluency: Experience in building, running, and maintaining automated test pipelines is key. The role requires proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI, and a solid understanding of test automation best practices.
• Strong Security and Quality Mindset: Deep understanding and determination to apply high security and quality standards across the full software development lifecycle.
• Applied Problem-solving and Collaboration: Ability to tackle complex challenges independently and by collaborating with stakeholders in agile Products organization.
