Overview

You will work within Group Audit, serving as Deutsche Bank’s independent `Third Line of Defense`, to proactively assist the bank’s business and infrastructure areas to identify control weaknesses. Comprising around 700 staff, our global connectivity provides a stimulating environment and the opportunity to collaborate, network and share knowledge with colleagues and specialists around the world.

The “Network, Operating Systems & Resilience” team within IT Infrastructure is responsible for global and horizontal coverage of infrastructure processes and related technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the internal audit function covering all relevant infrastructure processes and services within the bank’s Group Technology Infrastructure function
  • Planning, staffing, risk assessment and delivery of audits – driving the audit process, identifying and escalating audit issues and subsequent reporting while ensuring that divisional quality standards are adhered to; implement audit plan adjustments based on changes and risks, in alignment with the agreed audit strategy
  • Primary relationship manager for senior management, including stakeholders within Group Technology Infrastructure as well as local oversight for technology auditors in the US, in doing so, work with the respective leadership teams to provide “front-to-back” audit coverage and assurance
  • Contribute to enhancements of the audit approach and develop further technical expertise while proactively keeping abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business practices and maintaining a professional network with colleagues, stakeholders, and relevant support areas

How You’ll Lead

  • You will be leading a team of auditors, serving as subject matter expert regarding your area of business coverage
  • Set a clear direction in line with the global Group Audit strategic objectives and create an open and inclusive culture where team members are encouraged to offer and challenge ideas and practices
  • Represent the division at committees and forums, both internally and externally, including leading discussions with regulators where required

Skills You’ll Need

  • Prefer, Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, business administration, economics and/or science from an accredited college or university (or equivalent); industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP or equivalent qualification in the areas of auditing standards, project management or process/quality management would be an advantage
  • Multi-year experience in the financial industry including responsibility for team and/or project management and awareness of the risks and regulatory requirements including in-depth knowledge of auditing standards and concepts
  • Excellent project management and planning, problem solving, relationship management and presentation skills combined with the ability to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organization, openness for occasional travel

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,000 to $280,500.  Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.  Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
