The Role

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and go-to-market execution of new product and service offerings that monetize Black Lotus Labs’ threat intelligence capabilities. This role is ideal for a visionary product leader with deep expertise in network security, threat intelligence, and AI-based security solutions, particularly in areas like autonomous agents, AI-powered analytics, and AI Security.

You will define and execute a product strategy that converts Lumen’s unique global threat insights into revenue-generating solutions that help protect enterprises and governments from evolving cyber threats.

This is a work from home position anywhere within the US. 

The Main Responsibilities

• Own and drive the product strategy and roadmap to monetize Lumen’s Black Lotus Labs threat intelligence, with focus on scalable, customer-centric offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering, threat research, and data science teams to build AI-powered security products, including agent-based automation and GenAI defenses.
• Define and prioritize features and use cases for threat intelligence APIs, feeds, dashboards, integrations with security platforms (e.g., firewalls, SIEMs, SOAR).
• Lead customer discovery and validation to align product development with market needs.
• Partner with business development and sales to define monetization models, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Develop and present compelling business cases and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Track product performance, adoption, and customer satisfaction; iterate rapidly based on feedback and analytics.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• 7+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success delivering network security or threat intelligence products.
• Proven expertise in threat detection, threat intelligence, or SOC-related technologies, ideally with exposure to threat actor tracking,
• IOCs, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Hands-on 7experience building or productizing AI-based security solutions, including autonomous agents, machine learning pipelines, or GenAI-powered analytics.
• Strong understanding of security infrastructure such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEMs, and endpoint protection.
• Deep customer empathy, particularly with security operations, analyst, and CISOs.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed organization, aligning cross-functional stakeholders from engineering, marketing, sales, and research.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills; able to distill complex ideas into actionable plans.

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Travel: Ability to travel as needed (Approx. 10%)

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$149,084 - $198,779 in these states: AL  AR  AZ  FL  GA  IA  ID  IN  KS  KY  LA  ME  MO  MS  MT  ND  NE  NM  OH  OK  PA  SC  SD  TN  UT  VT  WI  WV  WY 
$156,539 - $208,718 in these states: CO  HI  MI  MN  NC  NH  NV  OR  RI 
$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: AK  CA  CT  DC  DE  IL  MA  MD  NJ  NY  TX  VA  WA
