Role Summary

TRATON Financial Services (TFS) is committed to making sustainable transportation a reality. We are a newly established group-wide financial services unit within the TRATON Group (VW), which includes Scania, MAN, International, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus LLC. We are present in over 65 markets, making us one of the most global private actors in the financial services industry.

TFS operates under a robust governance, risk, and compliance framework that ensures transparency, accountability, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. The Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team at TFS acts as a center of excellence in several areas, including anti-corruption, AML, internal control, whistleblowing and investigation, governance and policy management, risk, ethics, and information governance. Within the GRC team, information governance is led by the Head of Digital Trust and Compliance Function (DPO), who supports TFS in navigating digital compliance by providing advice, support, training, and regulatory intelligence in the following areas:

 

  • Privacy and Cybersecurity
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • EBA Outsourcing and DORA
  • Open Data and Antitrust

 

As the function is developing to stay abreast of the increasing constellation of digital laws, you will have the unique opportunity to help grow and shape a stable and sustainable compliance practice within the head office and worldwide on privacy and other subjects.

We are looking for an entry/junior-level candidate with expertise in data protection and an interest in any of the above areas. Tasks include but are not limited to:

 

  • Supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in daily operations and ongoing compliance initiatives.
  • Monitoring and assisting in the drafting, improvement and implementation of data protection policies and gudelines, procedures and processes
  • Tracking regulatory changes (in the EU and worldwide) and assisting with updating internal policies accordingly.
  • Maintaining our OneTrust environment and supporting the first line in filling in all processes therein.
  • Performing monitoring initiatives and assessments to ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including but not limited to collaborating with teams across the organization on ROPAs, TIAs, LIAs, DPIAs.
  • Supporting incident management processes, including data breach reporting to auhtorities.
  • Helping respond to data subject access requests (DSARs).
  • Contributing to staff training sessions and awareness campaigns
  • Assisting in vendor assessments as well as data processing and/or outsourcing agreements.
  • Deputizing for the line manager when needed.

Your Profile

You have up to 3 years of experience working within a compliance-related role covering privacy and data protection (or related) and an understanding of operating within a highly regulated environment such as the financial sector.

Essential:

 

  • A degree in law or a related field, with a master's degree relevant to the position.
  • Up to / around 3 years of work experience in the field of digital law and compliance, with a focus on privacy and data protection.
  • Great command of English and experience in a multicultural environment.

 

Desirable:

 

  • Previous experience (educational or professional) in one or more additional areas indicated above beyond data protection (cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, EBA outsourcing and DORA, open data, antitrust).
  • Experience or knowledge of the OneTrust suite.
  • Working knowledge of the three lines of defense model.

 

Nice to Have:

 

  • IAPP or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience in M&A projects.
