Sr. Director, Information Technology  Onsite Charlotte, NC  

This Is What You’ll Do:

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational agility, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the enterprise’s cloud and hybrid IT infrastructure strategy to ensure scalability, security, and flexibility.
  • Partner with business units to enable secure and scalable data platforms and drive enterprise analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure successful technology adoption and clear stakeholder communication.
  • Report on KPIs to measure infrastructure efficiency, IT service quality, IT security performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Serve on the senior management team, driving IT strategy aligned with business goals through governance, planning, and system oversight.
  • Align and drive value from the group wide IT career path and organization model.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, business cases, and cost/benefit analyses to ensure strategic, cost-effective technology investments.
  • Evaluate and communicate IT-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across systems.
  • Oversee enterprise security, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies to protect systems and data.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to identify system requirements and drive effective IT project delivery.
  • Direct IT service delivery and performance management through SLAs and continuous monitoring of system health.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning including recruitment, development, and retention of IT talent aligned with HR and budget policies.
  • Stay current with IT trends, advising leadership on emerging technologies and their financial and competitive impact.
  • Drive collaboration across teams and be a business partner to the local organization and represent local needs.
  • Guide local IT leaders and Application Managers to ensure alignment between infrastructure and application needs.
  • Serve as a key representative in both local and corporate Change Advisory Boards (CAB), ensuring appropriate oversight and strategic input in the change management process.
  • Ensure IT teams adhere to defined standards.
  • Approve and manage changes to Corporate IT Infrastructure in compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Maintain and govern the IT Positive List and ensure local IT teams adhere to defined standards.
  • Lead vendor selection and negotiations for infrastructure services, defining SLAs in collaboration with Procurement.

  • Strong leadership and organizational development skills
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, software, and data management
  • Expertise in infrastructure architecture and security governance
  • Proficient in project and budget management
  • Strong negotiating and vendor management capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to present technical concepts in business-friendly language
  • Self-motivated with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Committed to delivering high-quality service and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy, security, and compliance laws
  • Collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
This Is What It Takes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of experience directing IT operations; Five (5) years of experience leading complex IT systems and projects of similar size and scope
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, FDA, HIPAA)
  • Proven strategic planning and execution experience
  • ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or similar certifications preferred

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $226,768-$300,000; however, unexpected and necessary adjustments or increases may result from Company annual salary increases, if applicable, and or fluctuations in the job market necessitating adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits, including parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
