Empower your recovery with us.The IT Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our computing infrastructure. This position involves a range of responsibilities, from enterprise system support to supporting our enterprise mobile platform services. This position is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, which are vital to our organization's success. The primary duties will include monitoring and maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems and managing procedures in line with company policies. A significant part of this role will focus on mobile platform management, where the IT Systems Administrator will support and oversee enterprise mobile devices and applications, including deploying and maintaining mobile device management solutions. Troubleshooting is another key aspect of this role. You'll provide technical support and swiftly address issues for both systems and mobile platforms, ensuring minimal operational disruption. Additionally, this role will assist in software and hardware upgrades, ensuring our systems are up-to-date and running efficiently. Maintaining detailed records of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides will be essential. The IT Systems Administrator will also collaborate closely with other IT team members and various departments, ensuring our IT infrastructure aligns with the company's objectives. The role extends to training and providing guidance to users on system and mobile device policies. Educating staff will enhance their understanding and effective use of our IT resources and improve service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Collaborate with vendors and IT teams for specialized system tuning.
- Mobile Platform Management: Support and manage enterprise mobile devices and applications. This includes deploying, configuring, and maintaining mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- System Monitoring: Regularly monitor system performance metrics to ensure optimal operation. Identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols and tools to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. Regularly update security software and conduct routine audits.
- Backup and Recovery: Manage backup processes for critical data and system configurations. Test and refine disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and emergency system availability.
- Patch Management: Keep all systems up-to-date with the latest patches and updates to ensure security and stability. Schedule and manage the deployment of patches in a manner that minimizes disruption to operations.
- Hardware and Software Inventory Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware components and software licenses. Assist in the procurement process and lifecycle management of IT resources.
- Assistance and Training: Provide direct support to IT teams and users for system-related queries and issues. Develop and deliver training materials to educate staff on proper system usage and best practices.
- Collaboration with External Vendors: Coordinate with external vendors to support and maintain specialized systems and hardware. Evaluate vendor services and participate in IT services and product proof of concept processes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Regularly update system documentation, including configuration guides, diagrams, and support logs. Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and incident resolutions.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for both enterprise server systems and mobile platforms. Ensure rapid resolution of problems to avoid operational delays.
- Stay Updated with Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in communication, network technology, IVR, and A/V systems to suggest and implement improvements.
- Aid in developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintaining current plan executables knowledge.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for network maintenance and incident response when required.
- Provides on-call support and responds to major incidents and outages
- Travel to remote sites as needed
- Respond to emergency outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Perform other special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years supporting current windows desktop technologies, local area networks, and server-based applications.
- Exposure to Microsoft Windows Server (Latest current OS)
- Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) and mobile device management solutions.
- Understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals and related equipment (switches, routers, etc.)
- Experience with multi-user remote access technologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience working with Mobile Carriers (T-Mobile, Verizon, etc…)
- Experience with mobile device MDMs (Apple Business manager, AirWatch, Intune, etc…)
- Experience with VSA – Kaseya
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Certification in relevant IT technologies (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) is a plus.
- Knowledge of VOIP Technology – Ring Central and Microsoft Teams VOIP
- Knowledge of VMWare and Linux system administration is a plus
- Experience with various automation or scripting tools (Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, or Power Automate)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hour per week
Compensation: Experience, education and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
