Job Description
Visa's Cybersecurity team is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity engineer to Join our elite team to drive innovation in IAM processes through advanced AI technologies and automation, ensuring enhanced security and operational efficiency! We are looking for a passionate, talented team player with a strong problem-solving mindset and coding/scripting skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to meeting service level agreements within tight timeframes to perform core application access governance responsibilities, while collaborating with business and technical teams.
Essential Functions:
Application, Component, and Appliances Enrollment:
Design and implement robust data pipelines and automated tools to facilitate the onboarding of applications, components, and appliances into IAM governance and identity management platforms (such as SailPoint, Okta, and Azure AD).
Actively participate in the enrollment process Application, Component, and Appliances to ensure seamless integration with IAM systems, leveraging Artificial Intelligence to enhance both efficiency and system performance.
Analyze complex application architectures to standardize authentication and authorization models, thereby ensuring scalable and secure identity management.
Advanced Governance of Applications, Components, and Appliances:
Integrate advanced AI and generative AI technologies—including LLM-based chatbots, anomaly detection, and automated workflows—into IAM processes to elevate security, mitigate risks, and optimize operational effectiveness, all while adhering to relevant regulatory and industry standards. Key responsibilities include:
Automating IAM control operations, such as validating control evidence from application owners during self-attestation, to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Developing, monitoring, and optimizing application access governance automations through state-of-the-art AI and machine learning methods.
Managing incidents and RTIMs with AI-driven response and mitigation strategies to minimize organizational risk and downtime.
Conducting sophisticated data analysis with tools like Excel, SQL, and Python (including Pandas and Numpy) to validate IAM controls, enhance sustainability, and streamline manual data collection processes.
Delivering exceptional customer support and expertly overseeing IAM control operations by utilizing innovative AI-powered solutions.
Managing changes within IAM operations efficiently, implementing automated solutions that ensure minimal disruption and sustained operational excellence.
Security Configuration Inspection:
Review IAM security settings (Critical, High, Medium) that cannot be auto-validated to ensure compliance and security.
Advanced Reporting:
Automate and design Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Key Risk Indicators (KRI), and executive dashboards.
Work with IAM operations and development to turn requirements into technical solutions and resolve issues quickly.
Audit Interpretation and Response:
Accurately interpret audit requests and provide timely responses. Support identification and resolution of IAM audit findings.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in IAM governance, programming/coding, and Gen AI.
- Strong understanding of IAM frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java for automation, including API integration and scripting. Practical experience with Git or other version control tools.
- Solid understanding and practical usage of GenAI/AI technologies (such as OpenAI GPT, Microsoft Copilot, or custom LLM deployments) in IAM operations or security workflows.
- Strong knowledge of IAM frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), policies, and technical implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of application architecture, authentication, and authorization models.
- Experience with IAM platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD, CyberArk) and integrating APIs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders and document technical processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, etc.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft/Azure/Okta certifications) preferred.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 95,200.00 to 134,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
