Job Description:

The Threat Finance Analyst is responsible for research on assigned topics, application of structured analytic methodology, and innovation in the application of analytics to our client’s challenges.

Responsibilities:

The focus is innovation on analytic methodology and technological enablement of structured analytics. This involves blending analytical rigor with data science and human factors to produce relevant capabilities that demonstrate the art of the possible in solving the end user's problem. A key part of that process is research and intelligence analysis, and we are looking for a skilled analyst to join our team. You will work alongside analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and creative design specialists to collaboratively produce applied solutions to the department's hardest challenges. The Threat Finance Analyst will be part of a fast-paced team, provide expertise in threat/illicit finance activity, conduct all-source analysis, and be experienced in standard intelligence community and/or commercial/academic analytical techniques, tools, and processes. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp on threat/illicit finance analytic methodology, data visualization techniques, and have the ability to create visual narratives that intuitively simplify complex concepts for a variety of audiences. Knowledge of data science fundamentals is not required but adds great value to the team.

  • Provide Comprehensive Training on New Tools:Deliver in-depth training sessions to ensure team members are proficient in utilizing new tools. This includes creating training materials, conducting hands-on workshops, and offering ongoing support to address any questions or issues.
  • Presenting and Implementing New Tools:Actively engage with stakeholders to present the benefits and functionalities of new tools. Oversee the implementation process to ensure seamless integration and adoption within the organization, including troubleshooting and providing technical assistance as needed.
  • Working Independently: Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, managing your time and tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and drive projects forward with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes and continuous enhancement of processes.

 Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience performing all-source analysis focused on threat/illicit finance
  • Demonstrated Counter-Threat Finance (CTF) experience within the Intelligence Community
  • Experience identifying/detecting, targeting, and interdicting threat, terrorist, and/or criminal finance activities, and networks
  • Competent in utilizing Intelligence Analysis tools
  • Competent in utilizing Intelligence Report Aggregators/Automated Message Handling System search tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • The candidate must be proficient in all or most of: Verbal and written communication
  • Critical thinking and creative problem solving
  • Application of structured analytics to complex data
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience in one or more of the below:
    • Graph display/analytics - Neo4j, Gephi, Cytoscape, ORA or others
    • Spreadsheet / Data - Excel/PowerBI
    • Data Viz/Dashboarding tools like Tableau and Kibana

Clearance:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
