Cyber Security Apprentice

You will be an integral part of our monitoring team, collaborating with experienced professionals to ensure SYNLAB remains secure.

• Support the day-to-day monitoring of security alerts, logs, and events to help identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly security reports and performance metrics for internal stakeholders.
• Help maintain and update security tools, systems, and documentation to support compliance and operational readiness.
• Participate in awareness initiatives and help promote a positive security culture across the organisation.
• Engage in structured learning as part of the apprenticeship program and apply acquired knowledge to real-world tasks.
• Support in the process of achieving and maintaining required accreditations (Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 etc)

Essential

•  While no cybersecurity experience is required, experience in an IT role is essential
•  Good understanding on computer systems, networks, identity and cloud systems
• Awareness of common cyber threats
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills

Desirable

• Awareness of Cyber Security Frameworks (ISO 27001, CE+, NIST)
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying up to date with cyber trends
• Certifications such as CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Sec+, ISC2 CC
