This role, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is essential in supporting the U.S. President, Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and this role is on-site with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is the key part of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control designated networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission goals. C2BMC provides a layered missile defense capability that offers an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. C2BMC acts as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a crucial part of all system ground and flight tests, which verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of the missile defense system.
This position is responsible for developing and deploying cyber patches in the NT labs, the C2BMC Testbed (CTB), and Operations. The Cyber Tools Specialist will support the Cyber Tools team as part of the Cyber and Platform (CAP) ART.
Essential Functions:
- Installing, deploying, unit testing, and generating patch documentation for Cyber Products in Windows and Linux environments:
- Delinea
- ESS
- ACAS
- ArcSight
- MFA
- BigFix
- Endgame
- KMS, etc.
- Providing redlines to COS engineers and offering feedback to Cyber Leadership will be part of the position's responsibilities
- Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will also be necessary for daily tasks
- Basic knowledge of cyber technology and DoD information assurance system certification
- Familiarity with technical document preparation skills and verbal communication is necessary for presenting technical Cyber issues and reports to Agile Release Train (ART) leadership
Basic Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with no required work experience; or 6 years of relevant experience can be considered as an alternative to holding a degree.
- Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is necessary to start
- A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs are required
- Technical troubleshooting of software applications, integrating COTS products, conducting data analytics on system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and implementing risk mitigation to achieve system accreditation
- Must have experience implementing DISA STIGs
- Requires practical experience with patch management, scanning and auditing, security event monitoring, host-based security, and multi-factor tools in an integrated lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile Lifecycle utilizing Risk Management Framework (RMF) and GPOs is a plus
- In-depth understanding of DISA STIGs, automating tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Ansible, and hands-on experience with ACAS

Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
