We are looking for an IAM Architect to join our team! You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions within the organization. This role ensures secure access to systems and data while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The IAM Architect will collaborate closely with various departments, including IT, HR, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration and management of IAM processes.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IAM or related field
  • Experience with IAM tools and platforms (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, Ping Identity, Microsoft Azure AD).
  •  Experience in Public Cloud IAM Systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

It would be great if you also had . . .

  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
  • Personnel management experience within a security team
  • Global security experience

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Develop and implement IAM strategies and solutions to support organizational security objectives; this includes choosing the right technologies, designing authentication and authorization processes, and managing user roles and permissions. 
  • Design the IAM policies, processes, and procedures to protect sensitive data and systems by implementing security controls, adhering to industry best practices, and meeting regulatory requirements.
  •  Design, deploy, and manage IAM systems, including user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.
  •  Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate IAM solutions with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Continuously advance the IAM program by standardizing access controls and enhancing maturity across decentralized business units.
  •  Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with GRC and Audit functions to maintain an effective control environment across IAM domains.
  •   Provide technical expertise and guidance on IAM related projects and initiatives.
  •  Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and documentation.
  •  Monitor and analyze IAM systems' performance, ensuring optimal operation and availability.
  • Mentor team members and partner resources, helping to build internal IAM expertise and a strong identity-centric culture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in IAM architecture reviews, enterprise initiatives, and incident response efforts. 
  • Act as a liaison between Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, HR, Legal, and Application teams to align on access policies and enforcement. 
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and threats in the IAM space.

IT Services is a shared services organization within Clarivate that provides enabling services for the rest of the company, and ultimately, supporting our customers. Our organization consists of seven distinct groups, each with a unique focus and responsibility. These groups are responsible for delivering the corporate systems, protecting Clarivate and customer data via advanced security practices, providing physical and 3rd party cloud infrastructure for our corporate and customer-facing applications, desktop and meeting technologies, data mastering, cleansing, and reporting for our customer and product data, sourcing and procurement capabilities along with the organization’s operations and IT Project Management Office.

Hours of Work

  • Full-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed
  • Hybrid position working 2-3 days/week on-site
  • Must live within a commutable distance to one of our US office locations: Overland Park, KS or Philadelphia, PA
