You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering cloud-native, scalable, secure, high availability and high-performance solutions on AWS, leveraging your full-stack expertise in React or Next.js and .NET / .NET Core. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep technical acumen, capable of guiding engineering teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade platforms.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll be part of the Customer Service Network Technology (CSN) Chapter—driving innovation in In-Branch Staff Technology services. CSN is at the heart of the Retail Tech Customer Service Network Crew, within the Group’s broader Retail Tech Division. We empower front-line branch staff with smart, seamless tools that enable timely, relevant, and value-driven customer conversations. Our work spans strategic guidance, change delivery, and channel innovation—making this a unique opportunity to influence how millions of customers experience service every day.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Deliver full stack, full cycle design solutions, with a strong focus on front-end engineering using Next.js and React, while also supporting robust back-end development with C# and .NET Core.
Lead as a technical subject-matter expert, mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge through workshops, guilds, and collaborative forums.
Design and implement innovative, scalable solutions as part of a cross-functional squad, using technologies like GraphQL, modern data access layers, and cloud-native services on AWS.
Work with a DevSecOps mindset, owning the full lifecycle—you build it, you secure it, you test it, and you run it—with a strong grasp of CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure pipelines, logging, and monitoring.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Figma AI, and others to accelerate delivery and improve code quality is highly desirable.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions that deliver real value, while continuously driving process improvements and innovation

Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
Expert in SDLC and Agile methods with broader experience around architecture, design, implementation, deployment, integration, and technology transformations.
Full cycle desing experience design, build, challenge and run essential.
Full Stack Development: Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, and .NET Core/C# with experience designing scalable microservices and APIs (GraphQL & REST).
Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and Jenkins.
Database & API Design: Proficient in PostgreSQL, Oracle, and modern data access patterns.
Monitoring & Observability: Familiar with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch.
AI Technologies: Hands-on experience with coding agents and automation is highly desirable. A strong technical mindset and willingness to adopt AI in daily workflows is equally valued.
Secure Engineering & DevSecOps: Deep understanding of security principles, DevSecOps, and SRE practices.
Agile Delivery & Testing: Proven experience with TDD/BDD, automated testing, service virtualization, and cloud-native application development.
Understanding of hardware-software integration concepts, even without hands-on experience, is highly valued —especially in uplifting and enhancing existing system functionality.
