Market Information Security Officer (MISO)

Are you our new Market Information Security Officer (MISO) for Intrum Global technologies?

Location: Riga (Latvia)

What you will do:

• Primary point of contact for Information Security(IS)/IT security for Intrum Global Technologies(IGT) teams.
• Leading IGT Security Operations team.
• IGT champion/ambassador for Information/IT security and main partner for Intrum Cyber Security team representing IGT needs.
• Ensure alignment between information security and business objectives.
• Ensure IGT compliance with applicable local and global IS/IT security instructions and acting as a trusted advisor for market/local staff.
• Ensure progress of IGT action plan for closing gaps and risk mitigation for the IT and IS area.
• Local communication and coordination in local language of IS incidents, e.g. malware infections or data breaches, including coordination with market/local and global functions (e.g. Cyber Security, Global IT and SOC).
• Registration of security incidents and notification to local stakeholders and to Intrum Cyber Security.
• Participate in projects, M&A and acquisition of new systems/vendors as an advisor to ensure security is considered as early as possible in the process and compliance with applicable security requirements is achieved (in some cases the MISO is responsible for the execution of risk management sub-processes as governed by Intrum’s internal rules (e.g. threat modelling and risk management in new projects).
• Monitor locally managed infrastructure in the scope of information/IT security (e.g. vulnerability management, AV protection).
• Support and promote, in local language, the global and local information security training and awareness activities.
• Assist the local organization on RFP’s, Security Questionnaires and Due Diligence reviews performed by Clients, Supervisory authorities and other authorized parties.
• Follow up continuous improvement with responsible stakeholders like closure of identified vulnerabilities, security incidents, compliance gaps, and implementation of risk mitigations plans.
• Represent the IGT in the Global Security Forums.
• Facilitate local audits of user rights and user access management processes, supported by Cyber Security.
• Provide the global functions (e.g. Cyber Security) with regular status reports based on established templates about market/local security posture.
• Conduct an annual security self-assessment.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in (security) incident response.
• Knowledge of common technical and organizational information security controls.
• A broad conceptual understanding of IT systems, networks, application and cloud security.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following security standards ISO27001/27002, NIST-CF, COBIT, PCI-DSS or similar (preferred).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Ability to communicate the business value of information/IT security to local users, managers and other stakeholders
• Ability to follow-up both technical and organizational issues (compliance gaps, risk mitigations).
• Good communication skills, oral and written with the ability to communicate with end-users, technical teams and management.
• Strong character (being able to say no when needed) and be able to ensure results delivery from others.
• You are proactive, curious and punctual. Result orientated. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and keen to learn and develop personal skills/knowledge. Solution oriented (being able to investigate and recommend on secure alternatives if needed).
