What is Expert Information Security?

Seeking an experienced and highly motivated information security professional to join as an Expert Information Security. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a Fintech organization. The role reports to Manager Information Security and Governance.

What does Expert Information Security do?

•         Conduct security assessments of applications, networks, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation

•         Experience with managing and implementing ISO:27001, PCI DSS standards, and relevant frameworks

•         Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and experience in implementing security controls to mitigate those risks

•         Provide guidance and support to development teams to ensure that applications are developed with security in mind

•         Experience in working with web application firewalls (WAFs) and API gateways

•         Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems

•         Monitor and analyse security logs to detect and respond to security incidents

•         Stay current with the latest security threats and trends, and recommend appropriate security controls

•         Perform compliance activities aligned with SBP regulations and frameworks to ensure regulatory adherence

•         Participate in internal and external audits, coordinate with stakeholders, and work on timely remediation of audit observations

•         Collaborate with other security teams to ensure that the organization's overall security posture is maintained

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Information Security?

•         Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field

•         3-5 years of experience in a Fintech organization.

•         Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices, including secure coding, threat modelling, and penetration testing

•         Experience with security testing tools and frameworks

•         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•         Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment

•         Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) is a plus
