Summary
The Cybersecurity Administrator implements and manages robust cybersecurity measures, particularly those provided by Microsoft security solutions, to safeguard the company's infrastructure, networks, and sensitive information from evolving cyber threats.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Microsoft Security Products: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Microsoft security solutions (e.g., Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender ATP, Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Cloud App Security) to implement, configure, and manage these products effectively.
- Cybersecurity Operations: Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs generated by Microsoft Security Products; investigate potential incidents; respond to threats promptly.
- Security Incident Response: Lead response efforts including containment, eradication, and recovery using Microsoft Security Products to mitigate the impact of security incidents and minimize system downtime.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular assessments and penetration testing using Microsoft tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce policies aligned with industry best practices and Microsoft guidelines.
- Security Awareness and Training: Promote cybersecurity awareness through training and educational materials.
- Security Auditing and Compliance: Perform audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews using Microsoft compliance tools.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends: Monitor emerging threats and trends related to Microsoft Security Products and recommend improvements.
- Workplace Safety: Perform all tasks safely and report any unsafe conditions.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as directed.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify risks, and recommend security measures.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Thorough understanding of security systems (firewalls, encryption, password protection, and authentication).
- Working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts.
- Proficient in cybersecurity best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Security Products (e.g., Intune, Active Directory Certificate Services).
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls).
- Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and auditing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, MCSE: Security, A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA) are highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity administration, especially with Microsoft Security Products.
