By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting the integration of company DPP policies, processes, and standards across business units.
- Implementing data protection by design principles in business processes, systems, and services.
- Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
- Performing third-party information security and privacy assessments to ensure compliance with DPP laws and internal policies.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of processing activities, including data flows and cross-border transfers.
- Project managing DPP requirements for new initiatives and business projects.
- Documenting and assessing DPP risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Assisting in the handling of data subject requests in line with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Supporting the investigation, resolution, and closure of personal data breaches.
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of DPP controls across the organization.
- Advising the business on DPP obligations and tracking global regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintaining technical expertise through continuous learning, industry engagement, and training.
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in DPP program management, compliance, risk management, and working with multinational organizations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and assessments.
- Analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and impact from a DPP perspective.
- A pragmatic, risk-based approach to data protection and privacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Deep understanding of global data protection laws, including GDPR.
- High level of integrity and a passion for data protection and privacy.
- Preferred certifications: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT; additional certifications like CISM, CRISC, or CISA are a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as OneTrust, Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce, Workday, and SuccessFactors.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus).
