Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Information Technology team, the Cloud Architecture Analyst will report to the Manager of Information Technology and will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization’s cloud computing system and multi-site network. This role involves developing and implementing cloud strategies, evaluating cloud applications and hardware, and ensuring the effective functioning of our cloud systems

Cloud Architecture Analyst 

  • Redesign cloud strategies to proactively incorporate emerging technologies and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with both current and future organizational goals.  
  • Introduce new methodologies for assessing and forecasting cloud trends, such as leveraging machine learning or advanced analytics to optimize cloud environments for cost and performance. 
  • Drive cross-departmental collaboration to ensure that cloud innovations meet the evolving needs of the business, enabling departments to adopt more agile, scalable cloud services that improve overall operational efficiency. 
  • Regularly review and update the cloud strategy to reflect changes in the organizational landscape and emerging cloud technologies. 
  • Develop and propose innovative cloud solutions that not only enhance performance and scalability but also improve the user experience across departments, impacting workflows and enabling more efficient processes. 
  • Work with multiple teams to restructure existing systems and recommend cutting-edge tools that automate processes, reduce manual work, and increase overall system reliability. 
  • Pioneer new evaluation frameworks for cloud technologies, using comparative data analytics and machine learning to assess vendor offerings in terms of scalability, security, and integration potential with existing systems. 
  • Introduce improvements in vendor selection that foster a competitive edge, such as leveraging hybrid cloud solutions or cutting-edge multi-cloud technologies that position the organization for future growth. 
  • Lead initiatives to reimagine and reorganize existing cloud processes and systems, creating opportunities to improve performance and cost savings while reducing operational bottlenecks. Address and solve complex problems related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring that solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure. 
  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate cloud systems seamlessly into existing infrastructure. 
  • Continuously monitor and improve cloud systems to enhance performance and reliability. 
  • Work closely with IT security teams, innovate security protocols by integrating cutting-edge encryption technologies, zero-trust security frameworks, and automated threat detection mechanisms to better protect cloud environments.  
  • Reorganize existing security processes to better align with the latest regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring proactive compliance measures across the organization.  
  • Respond promptly to technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, providing effective and timely solutions 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related problems, minimizing disruption to business operations. 
  • Document and communicate technical issues and resolutions to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence of technical issues. 
  • Provide expert guidance on techniques and best practices for migrating applications and data to the cloud. 
  • Redesign migration strategies to take advantage of the latest containerization and microservices architectures, which streamline the migration process and reduce system downtime during transitions.  
  • Establish and promote best practices for cloud architecture and adoption. 

Cybersecurity  

  • Work with Cybersecurity staff to identify and mitigate asset risk and increase security and compliance measures across all layers of infrastructure including, but not limited to, IAM, MDM, MAM, networking, communications security, cloud infrastructure, storage services, compute infrastructure, and server operating systems to support the cybersecurity program goal of increasing security posture across IT and business services. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on systems security topics and concerns, including, but not limited to, operating system configurations and hardening, network protocols security, authentication and authorization, systems vulnerabilities, IAM, MDM, MAM, application layer security, logging, and monitoring systems. 
  • Contribute to cybersecurity vulnerability and risk management programs through mitigation of systems, services, applications, and device risks and vulnerabilities. 

Special Projects 

  • Work with various members of the company to produce productivity, workflow, security, and integration enhancements through awareness and adoption of software, feature implementation, and automation. 
  • Exercise self-directed research, exploration, education, and training to maintain the technical expertise required to fulfill the role. 

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • A diploma or degree in a computer-related field
  • Completion of Microsoft Azure training
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Linux, Security, or ITIL are highly valuable
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role

Eligibility:

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
