By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining IT service continuity plans that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify threats to service continuity and developing mitigation strategies.
- Designing and coordinating disaster recovery (DR) plans, including regular testing and drills to ensure readiness.
- Managing and coordinating responses to IT service disruptions, ensuring timely resolution and incorporating lessons learned into future planning.
- Performing business impact analyses (BIA) to prioritize recovery efforts based on service criticality.
- Collaborating with IT teams, business units, and external partners to ensure continuity plans are integrated and effective.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of continuity plans, procedures, and incident reports.
- Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of service continuity efforts.
- Developing and delivering training and awareness programs to promote a culture of resilience across the organization.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to service continuity and disaster recovery.
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in service continuity, disaster recovery, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies using recognized frameworks.
- Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
- Solid incident management skills with the ability to coordinate response efforts during crises.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in conducting BIAs and prioritizing recovery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements related to IT continuity and DR.
- Preferred certifications: CBCP, ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus).
