Your opportunity:
We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineering Specialist who shares our commitment to protecting what matters most. By joining our team, you'll be enhancing our cybersecurity efforts and managing tools within our Technology Security portfolio with care and diligence. As the System Technical Owner (STO) of assigned security tools and capabilities, your work will resonate beyond technology and will extend to safeguarding the trust and privacy of our customers and their data.
You'll be working together with an innovative team on industry-leading cyber security tools and techniques. Together, and through ownership of the following technologies we'll explore areas like Identity & Access Management (IAM), Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Protection and Detection (EDR), Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Encryption, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Email Security, Authentication & Authorization, API Security, and more. Your contributions will not only protect our critical infrastructure and services but also help foster a more secure digital environment that keeps our customers' interests at heart
You'll make impact by:
- Demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and active participation in strategic planning for responsible systems, including capacity and lifecycle management
- Ensuring system stability and currency, with a focus on security, performance, availability, and adherence to best practices
- Taking charge of operational governance to maintain steady-state operations, and managing capacity and key performance indicators to meet current and future business and compliance needs
- Collaborating closely with the Enterprise Security Solutions team and external partners to validate and review detailed design components, while staying updated on as-built designs for relevant platforms
- Contributing to stakeholder discussions and playing a pivotal role in resolving issues that emerge from programs and projects
- Managing platform risks effectively, optimising capacity and licenses, and ensuring the quality of deliverables from internal teams and third-party vendors
- Upholding TPG Telecom’s reputation by maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of information assets and systems
- Familiarising yourself with policies and procedures, and actively promoting compliance throughout the TPG community
What you’ll bring:
- Familiar with the following areas: design, implementation, operations, incident handling, intrusion detection, and/or security & risk assessment.
- An understanding of cyber, network and cloud security concepts, technologies, principles and practices.
- Experience with tools such as Splunk, Sailpoint, CyberArk, ArcSight, SentinelOne, Vectra,, Secure Service Edge (SSE), AWS Security, Microsoft security tools etc., will be considered useful.
- Enthusiastic about staying updated with the latest technologies and emerging cyber-threats.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information and ideas clearly and succinctly within a business context.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with complex or regulated businesses is advantageous.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Previous experience in Telecommunications
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GSEC will help.
