Job Title: Edge Services Site Reliability Engineer
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Salary Range: $180000 - $240000 (USD)

Job Description:
  • Developing stability standards and metrics
    • Covering robust architecture, R&D quality, release management, production environment operations, and more.
    • Embedding stability into technical R&D system.
  • Driving major stability governance campaigns
    • Initiatives such as full-stack disaster recovery, phased change rollout, the 1-5-10 emergency response mechanism (1-minute alerting, 5-minute triage, 10-minute recovery), and financial-loss prevention.
  • Rapidly and continuously mitigating stability risks.
  • Building a stability-focused technical platform
    • Platform capabilities for unattended change management, red/blue team drills, emergency collaboration, risk and vulnerability inspection, and monitoring/alerting.
    • Simplifying stability engineering through automation and tooling.
  • Executing production incident management
    • Emergency response, cross-team coordination, root cause analysis, rapid recovery, and post-incident reviews to drive systemic improvements.
  • Ensuring stability for large-scale customer events
    • Technical and operational support for critical activities such as Olympics and customer business peak periods.
  • On-call responsibilities
    • Responding to customer issues within Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframes, resolving problems proactively, and enhancing customer experience.
  • Daily operations and maintenance of applications, databases, and middleware, as well as troubleshooting and answering customer inquiries;
  • Collaborating with R&D to develop critical support plans based on customer business requirements during peak periods, including preparation during the standby period, on-duty support during critical periods, and post-standby review;

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of edge cloud platform deployed locally in the U.S., ensuring the platform operates with high availability and high performance.
  • Comply with local U.S. regulatory requirements, ensuring cloud platform services meet the standards set by FIRRMA, NIST CSF 2.0, CISA CPGs, and other relevant regulations, especially those related to customer data storage and processing.
  • Manage and monitor data security for cloud services in the U.S. region, ensuring that all stored and processed data comply with local privacy and security compliance requirements.
  • Handle and manage access control and identity authentication, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access sensitive systems and data.
  • Comply with U.S. regulatory requirements by collecting, storing, and analyzing all logs, ensuring compliance with CISA and NIST regulations, and responding promptly to potential security incidents.
  • Work closely with the global technical team to optimize cloud platform operation processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Provide timely technical support to customers, addressing issues encountered during the use of the cloud platform.
  • Participate in the development of automation tools and operation systems, enhancing the automation and intelligence of daily operations.

Qualifications:
• Minimum qualification:
o Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
o At least 3 years of experience in cloud platform operations and maintenance, relevant experience in edge computing or large-scale cloud services operations is a plus.
o Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and common cloud platform tools and technologies, such as containers, virtualization, automated deployment, monitoring tools, etc.
o Proficiency in at least one or more of the following programming languages: Golang, C++, Java, Python, Shell.
o Understanding of cloud computing platform architecture and knowledge of infrastructure components such as computing, storage, networking, and security.
o Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
o Familiarity with U.S. regulatory laws, especially the requirements of FIRRMA, NIST CSF 2.0, and CISA CPGs.
o Ability to perform operation and maintenance management on cloud platforms deployed in the U.S., handling compliance issues related to U.S. customer data and resources.
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both local U.S. teams and global teams, supporting work in a multicultural environment.
o Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to express ideas professionally.

• Preferred qualification:
o Familiarity with U.S. cybersecurity regulations and standards. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM) is preferred.
o Experience in operation and maintenance of multinational cloud service platforms is preferred.
o Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
