Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for utilizing cyber, forensic and fraud investigation skills to investigate incidents of suspected employee fraud or misconduct. Position focusses on providing investigative, fraud risk services to all lines of business. Position is responsible for investigating potential internal financial crimes and other inappropriate employee actions; reviewing current controls, recommending control enhancements, and preparing investigative summaries for both Corporate Investigation leadership and FinCen. Individual must possess a strong working knowledge of a Financial Institutions line of business operating practices and policies; and maintain strong working relationships with appropriate industry groups and governmental agencies. Ideal candidate will also be familiar with industry-standard cyber-investigative tools; including EnCase Forensic, EnCase Enterprise, FireEye HX, DLP platforms, and forensic acquisition / processing hardware. Duties include retrieving forensically sound digital evidence for technical analysis of computers and business system logging, conducting fact finding interviews and preparing investigative reports. Position reports to the Manager of Corporate Investigations and works closely with legal and Information Protection Management.

The Work Itself

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the anonymous employee reporting line (Ethics Hotline).
  • Continuously improve Ally's ethics program, including processes, policies, procedures, reporting, training, and awareness.
  • Develop and deliver ethics awareness training.
  • Provide investigative services across all business divisions.
  • Investigate internal ethical violations, employment law breaches, and other inappropriate actions; review and improve current controls, and prepare investigative summaries for leadership.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with industry groups and governmental agencies.
  • Collaborate closely with LOB representatives, legal, and human resources to address advanced incidents.
  • Apply investigative tools and techniques to establish and implement investigative plans.
  • Capture facts and evidence, prepare investigative summaries, and draft suspicious activity reports.
  • Stay updated on investigative techniques, privacy laws, and bank regulations.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal investigations, experience with a multi-line financial services company preferred. 
  • Certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, CFE, CPP, PSP, and CISSP are highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR procedures, employment law, and employee relations.
  • Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in investigative tools and techniques.
  • Strong interviewing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to foster collaborative work partnerships and influence all organizational levels.
  • Dedication to continuous business improvement.

Base Pay Range: $70000 - $100000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.  Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
