Location: Leeds (office-based - 3 days a week)

Salary: up to £50K (DOE) + uncapped commission plan


Are you ready to make an impact in the fast-paced world of cybersecurity? Cognisys is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a dedicated Senior Account Manager to join our Account Management team during this exciting period of innovation and expansion.

About the Role

Our existing business sales team is vital to delivering exceptional service and customised cybersecurity solutions to our long-term clients. By fostering strong relationships and helping clients navigate ever-evolving threats and compliance challenges, we empower them to stay secure and ahead of the curve.

We’re looking for someone with sales DNA. Ideally, with previous experience as a business development representative or in a new business-facing role. While we look after existing business, that background helps ensure you're confident guiding commercial conversations and spotting where we can add real value.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will work closely with our existing clients to:

Support renewals

Identify growth opportunities

Maintain trusted, long-term partnerships

What you’ll do:

Client Leadership – Act as a senior point of contact and build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with your portfolio of existing Cognisys clients.

Strategic Planning - Lead planning discussions to align our solutions with clients’ evolving business priorities and be able to speak confidently and guide clients effectively.

Account Development & Commercial Impact - Develop and execute account plans to expand revenue, identify growth opportunities, and increase long-term partnerships.

Commercial Growth - Drive all aspects of client growth and retention, through renewals and identifying new opportunities through cross-selling and upselling, including coordination with internal consultants and project managers when needed.

Relationship & Influence Management - Influence client stakeholders at all levels and serve as a thought partner, bringing industry insight and data-driven recommendations.

Operational Excellence - Seamless delivery of services and solutions by coordinating cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for helping to maintain high standards of client satisfaction, proactively managing risks, and resolving issues at an early stage.

Reporting & Forecasting – Own, maintain and report clear visibility of upcoming pipeline and potential changes in client engagement and status, updating internal systems accurately and promptly, ensuring accurate reporting and strong business visibility.


Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing client relationships and driving account growth.

• Ideally, experience selling Cyber Security or SaaS solutions.

• Confident in identifying new business within existing accounts, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities, while proactively building a healthy pipeline of client engagement.

• Skilled at managing and driving the full sales cycle with existing clients, from opportunity identification to negotiation and close.

• Able to work effectively across diverse teams, including Project Management and Technical Consultants, to ensure a seamless client experience.

• Self-driven and able to bring energy, urgency, and a flexible mindset to shifting priorities and evolving client needs.

• High attention to detail is required for managing contracts, renewals, and client interactions and communications.

• Clear and effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex information.

• Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our Leeds office.
