Technical Associate Project Manager – IT & IT Security

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Associate Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of IT and IT Security projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven project management experience, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the end-to-end management of IT and IT Security projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, DevOps, and Compliance to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and best practices.
  • Support the implementation of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IAM, DLP, endpoint protection).
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers as needed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years focused on IT Security projects
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Asana).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM certification.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and vulnerability assessment tools.
