GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead and manage all aspects of our technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, network systems, and IT operations. This role is critical in ensuring the secure, efficient, and innovative use of technology across our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience within a healthcare environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, patient data security, operational and artificial intelligence experience.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports to Chief Executive Officer.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Supervise all department staff and maintain vendor relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy aligned with business goals and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
Infrastructure & Network Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable IT infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network systems, servers, and cloud services.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Lead the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
IT Operations & Support:
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including help desk, system administration, and vendor management.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Budget & Vendor Management:
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with technology vendors and service providers.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems (e.g., EHR/EMR, PACS, HL7, HIPAA compliance).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or CHCIO are a plus.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to perform all other duties as assigned
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office setting, computer facility, and clinical offices. Minimal exposure to communicable diseases.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Standing, sitting for long periods while doing computer input and responding to phone questions. Must have ability to bend, stoop, twist and work with computer equipment. Occasional stress in working with tense users and multiple tasks.
