The Systems Engineer manages networked systems hardware, operating systems, systems software utilities, and storage area networks. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
The Systems Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Maintains systems hardware, operating systems, systems software, and storage subsystems.
* Implements standards for setting up network logons, network file shares and permissions.
* Monitors system performance and makes system parameter changes as directed by senior engineers.
* Configures and manages disk and file systems.
* Installs and configures systems hardware and software.
* Manages and tracks systems issues, systems hardware and/or software changes, and testing requirements.
* Develops and maintains systems documentation, policies and procedures, new functionality, and process.
* Analyzes and tunes performance of complex application servers, server clusters and storage area networks software and hardware components.
* Designs and develops tools and procedures to measure and track systems and storage performance and capacity.
* Develops project plans in support of internal project initiatives, including plans for systems hardware and software upgrades.
* The Systems Engineer reports to the Manager Information Systems. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. Normal office environment. When working in clinical areas, potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Must follow standard precautions. * Bachelors degree in Computer Science with 2 years IT experience, Associates degree with 4 years IT experience, or 8 year IT experience, 2 years experience must be in systems and/or network administration * Experience with wide area and local area infrastructure
*Role specific technical certifications required (Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, CISSP, SAN.)
* Knowledge of hospitals and health care industry preferred
