Are you a cyber security enthusiast? We are seeking a cyber security engineer to join our Cyber Detection Team. This role is based in Sant Cugat, Spain. This role will work in the Security Automation team, working closely with Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Security Monitoring teams, forming part of a highly collaborative environment focused on continuously improving the company’s cybersecurity posture

You will have the opportunity to drive a culture of innovation as a Cyber Security Engineer, applying advanced cybersecurity methods to secure and strengthen IT Infrastructure. 

 

Tasks&Responsibilities

•       Implement automated detection mechanisms to improve response times.

•       In this role you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving tools, processes, and techniques for the early detection of security threats within the organization’s systems by automation

•       Support in monitoring security systems, networks, and applications for suspicious activities or anomalies.

•       Work closely with Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Security Monitoring teams, forming part of a highly collaborative environment focused on continuously improving the company’s cybersecurity posture

 

 

Requirements

•       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

•       Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position as Cybersecurity Engineer, Security Analyst, or Detection Engineer.

•       Demonstrable knowledge of security monitoring tools and platforms (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, IDS/IPS).

•       Experience with security automation and/or scripting for detection and response.

•       Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, etc.).

•       Solid knowledge of current threats, adversary TTPs, and threat intelligence analysis.

•       Good knowledge of English language

•       Analytical skills and attention to detail.

•       Teamwork and collaboration skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

•       Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, OSCP).

•       Previous experience in security automation projects.

•       Participation in cybersecurity communities, CTFs, and threat research.
