Job Summary: The Infra Solution Engineer reports to the Global IT Infrastructure Manager. In this role, you’ll work in Infrastructure and operations team, you will be looking into solution delivery by demand intake, solution design to ensure that every deployment incorporates a secured infrastructure by design. You’ll collaborate with various IT teams and ASM businesses to meet infrastructure security architecture and solution delivery needs along with that operationally you will be involved in providing L3 support for troubleshooting issues, optimize resource utilization and create service improvement plans and execute them to meet ASM needs. This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, collaboration skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on security. It’s a multifaceted role that demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning. Additionally, the Infra Solution Engineer is expected to stay informed about and support the integration of AI-driven infrastructure innovations, particularly in R&D environments. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Engagement and Collaboration: 

  • Partner with IT peers to engage in technical domains and business units during demand intake and solution delivery. Understand customer needs and pain points. 
  • Work with vendors and third-party service providers to troubleshoot major issues 
  • Operational Support and Management
  • Provide operational support for global hosting and network platforms including on-premises data centers, cloud environments (Azure, AWS), virtualization solutions (VMware, Nutanix AOS, Hyper-V) and LAN/WAN environments.
  • Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of hosting services, including compute, storage, network, and security components.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for hosting and network platform architecture, performance tuning, and capacity management.
  • Ensure periodic review of the documentation for infrastructure configurations, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures are done and maintained. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for both infrastructure and endpoint-related user issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.  

Infrastructure Solutions: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of network, compute, cloud, and endpoint security.
  • Provide design input and implement hybrid (cloud & on-premises) infrastructure solutions.
  • Evaluate the network landscape considering security, TCO, and alignment with other applications.
  • Prepare business case justifications for infrastructure-related initiatives including justifications on major architectural changes.
  • Govern external partners to ensure secure, functional solution delivery.
  • Explore and evaluate AI-driven infrastructure solutions to enhance automation, predictive maintenance, and performance optimization, especially in R&D contexts. Develop cloud cost optimization strategies and tools to ensure efficient resource utilization and budget adherence. 

Technical Implementation: 

  • Securely install, configure, and support network infrastructure.
  • Assist compute teams compute services including Windows servers, Linux servers, Active-Directory, Azure ,AWS and on-prem platforms
  • Implement and support network technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, LAN, WIFI, Firewalls/IPS/IDS, VPN, IPsec/GRE, IPAM, UTM). 

Problem Resolution and Continuity: 

  • Anticipate, investigate, and resolve system problems.
  • Document SOPs, policies, and guidelines.
  • Abide by and propose updates to IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Work with IT leads to accommodate business continuity and disaster recovery planning for IT systems.
  • Stay informed about technology and industry trends relevant to ASM operations. 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in designing, building, and supporting global infrastructure. Preferred certifications: AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent. 
  • Strong Knowledge & Experience: 
  • Azure & AWS Cloud architecture. 
  • AWS Workspaces and Monitoring  
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure (preferably Nutanix) for on-premises cloud architecture. 
  • Internet Routing protocols (TCP/IP, IPv6), OSPF, BGP, VPN, GRE/IPSEC, D/QoS, etc. 
  • Security solution such as firewall (and associated functionalities such as IPD, IDS, AV, Anti-spoof, DoS/DDoS, Policy based routing, Next Gen FW, WAF, etc.), CDN, CASB, SIEM, and Vulnerability Assessment. 
  • LDAP, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, NAC tools. 
  • Windows and Linux server OS. 
  • Proxy, reverse proxy, and load balancers. 
  • Microsoft Direct Access. 
  • Knowledge of emerging AI solutions and their integration into infrastructure, particularly in R&D environments. 

Good Working Knowledge & Experience: 

  • OT security technologies. 
  • Data Center facilities and associated technologies. 
  • Cloud SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and SD-WAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network) solutions. 
  • Identity Access Management (IAM). 
  • Multi-function Authentication (MFA). 
  • System hardening guidelines and frameworks e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO27001. 
  • Good at handling vendors in an outsourced environment. Be able to guide and provide coaching to them as needed. 
  • Personal Attributes:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate in a global IT environment.
