deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Cyber Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. They will interact with users and evaluate vendor products as well as make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery. In addition they will develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field.

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years with Bachelor's degree or 0 years with Master's degree
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)

Special Skills Desired:

• Experience with Cisco Networks with a focus on Network configuration
• Experience with RHEL, Red Hat Satellite servers and configuration
• Experience with VMWare ESXi, VMWare vCenter
• Experience with LAN and WAN management
• Familiarity with Network Technologies and Cybersecurity
• Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Linux Operating System environments
• Experience with scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
