Network Administrator - Senior

• You’ll become well-versed in Cisco iOS-XE, NX-OS, Firepower, CUMC, Unity, along with other technologies.

Typical Day: You’ll be providing all aspects of network support for the customer.  Installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices. Updating diagrams and documentation to reflect network changes. Remediate STIGs and POA&Ms.  

Tasks:

• Develop and design network architecture.
• Provide assistance with troubleshooting Layer1-3 network devices.
• Create, review, and maintain network-related documentation and diagrams.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices.
• Under general direction, responsible for activities related to network operations.
• Possesses solid understanding of IP networking and all associate components.
• Manages network performance and maintains network security.
• Administrates and Troubleshoots LAN/ WAN network-related problems, must be familiar with Telco procedures and troubleshooting.
• Thorough understanding of VPN, GRE and COMSEC tunnels.
• Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced for all network devices.
• Evaluates, develops, and maintains telecommunications systems, ie VTC, Jabber and Cisco Communications Manager.
• Ensures that long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall systems planning of the organization.
• Provides technical leadership in the integration and test of complex large-scale computer-integrated networks.
• Coordinates with all responsible users and sites.
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer- and detail-oriented, and possess good decision-making abilities.
• Extensive working knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, multicast), VoIP solutions and cabling services.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience.
• Education Substitution: Four (4) years’ experience (in addition to minimum experience requirements) may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. 
• Experience: Six (6) Years.
• Leads and/or executes engineering development process.
• Leads or participates in eliciting and/or deriving requirements from stated objectives and requirements. Designs input, outputs and processes for system components or modules. Integrates the system or systems of systems into a whole. Documents a system or system of system designs.
• Participates in all phases of development and engineering with emphasis on planning, analysis, development, integration, testing, documentation, and presentation of the engineering.
• Provides plans, performance management, capacity planning, testing and validation, benchmarking and staffing of an engineering management plan. Support root cause analysis.
• Interfaces with other team members to promote communications, status, progress, and problem solving to aide in meeting goals.

**** Certifications IAT Level II. CISSP, CASP +CE CISA, CCNP Security, GCED, GCIH, CCSP. ****

• Security clearance /IT access requirement –Secret/IT Level I.
• Investigation requirement – favorable SSBI/T5.
• IAT-II baseline certification requirements IAW DOD 8570.01-M - (Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP).
• Computing Environment (CE) Certifications to be determined by government upon final job assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

•  Additional network certifications.
• Experience in supervising/managing/leading a Network team.
• Experience with Enterprise-class Cisco Routers (Catalyst/ASR), Switches (Catalyst/Nexus), Firewalls (ASA and Firepower), and system networking.
• Experience with CUCM.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Experience working with JRSS JMN.
• Experience with Remedy ticketing system.
• Must be willing to provide after-hours support in emergency situations.
• Extensive working knowledge Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation.
• Experience with Cisco Prime and automated back-up.

Work Shift Flexibility:

• Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment.
• Contract has Flexibility to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days: At the Project Managers discretion.
