If you like solving complex IT and security problems using your deep analytical skills, this is the opportunity for you! SNC is looking for an Information System Security Manager (ISSM). As a Sr Systems Security Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to ensure continual compliance to NIST 800-53 controls, perform continuous monitoring, implement the Risk Management Framework for a key system within SNC.
Typical tasks include but are not limited to:
- Continuous Monitoring
- Oversee the implementation of security controls
- Provide advice on NIST 800-53 Controls
- Respond to system security incidents
- Interface with Internal Customers
- Support Data Transfer requests
- Guide Risk Analysis on system changes and enhancements
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuous monitoring of information system
  • Interfacing with internal customers
  • Supporting audits
  • Writing and maintaining RMF (Risk Management Framework), eMASS artifacts

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 10 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Experience and a solid understanding of the NIST 800-53 Controls
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Agile - ability to adapt with changing requirements
  • Experience manage team projects
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • CISSP certification
  • Relevant experience as an ISSM, ISSO

  • People person. Able to speak well to internal customers as well as USG Contacts

    Able to multi-task

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
