Summary:
As a member of the Corporate Security Operations team, the Associate Director will lead RTX Corporation’s global security risk-threat-intelligence efforts. The position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering a one-RTX Global Security Services (GSS) all-source approach to proactive identification of intelligence and indicators of risks, threats, and hazards as well as analysis and development of mitigation recommendations to safeguard RTX personnel, property, processes, information, and brand/reputation across the globe.
What You Will Do
The successful incumbent will establish and coordinate processes between Corporate and Business Unit GSS teams and Corporate Technology & Global Engineering units of RTX BBN and RTX Research Center, including but not limited to using classified and unclassified sources to identify, analyze, and mitigate issues and incidents to:
- domestic and international owned, operated, and leased sites,
- potential and actual threats to senior leaders and executive personnel,
- assess issues that may impact safety and secure arrival and departure of RTX flight operations,
- oversee counterintelligence & insider threat program implementation
- partner with product and non-product supply chain subject matter experts to identify security gaps and provide gap closure plans for Corporate and the Business Units,
- support event/trade show security personnel with pre and post event assessments and participate as requested in after-action reviews,
- obtain real-time local and regional threat data from numerous sources to support international travel security center of excellence and the safety of RTX and Business Unit international assignees and business travelers.
The role will also lead the RTX insider threat center of excellence and serve as Corporate insider threat program senior official in accordance with the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program and developing and expanding coordination and communication with facility security officers, contract program security officers and information system security managers.
The Associate Director will be responsible for managing a team of employees and contractors charged with providing all-source risk, threat, and intelligence – assessments, evaluations, investigations, and briefings. The incumbent will participate in joint Corporate-Business Unit teams to evaluate, write, update policy, evaluate vendors, services, and software, and build and improve processes across the all-source intelligence/counterintelligence space.
The position will develop, maintain, and grow positive internal and external relationships and partnerships including but not limited to government regulatory and law enforcement agencies (FBI/DOJ, DoD-DCSA, State Dept., etc.,) public-private organizations (NDISAC, TSF, OSAC, Infragard) vendors, DIB partnerships with comptimates, and internal RTX stakeholders such as Business Resilience Crisis Management, Government Security Compliance, HR, Legal (Ethics/Privacy), Cybersecurity/Digital Technology, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Services.
Qualifications You Must Have
U.S. Citizen status and possess an active/in-scope Top Secret personnel security clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain special access program and sensitive compartmentalized information program access.
Active drivers’ license and ability to travel to government offices, customer sites, and company Corporate and Business Unit locations as needed. Travel approximately 10%.
A college/university degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Security, Intelligence Analysis, Political Science or equivalent experience and minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in the above listed fields and a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
Continuous process improvement focus, exceptional PowerPoint and executive briefing experience. Ability to analyze and present complex data, including development of metrics and key performance indicators.
Prior sworn U.S. federal law enforcement experience and post-law enforcement experience in private sector security / risk / threat intelligence roles.
Experience translating cybersecurity indicators to actionable intelligence/security measures highly desirable. CISSP or equivalent certification helpful.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
