Project Description: The scope of this work is to support Harmonia’s federal government customer in managing a mature cybersecurity workforce equipped with the experience, appropriate training, education, and necessary skill sets to maintain and mature their customer’s ability to identify, engage, monitor, communicate, and remediate the evolving cybersecurity and privacy threats to the Department’s information assets. This work requires adequately reviewing, auditing, conducting gap analysis, developing, creating strategic and tactical plans in order to meet and implement various cybersecurity and privacy regulations, legislations, mandates, and directives protecting the governments information assets. The following services will be performed:
- Cybersecurity Strategy and Engagement Support Services
- Cybersecurity Communications Support Services
- Cybersecurity Advisory and Strategy Support Services
- Cybersecurity Design and Innovation Support Services
- Cybersecurity Project Oversight and Enhancement Support Services
- Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program Support Services
Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Program Manager / Task Lead to lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives in support of our federal government customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal cybersecurity policy, program oversight, and stakeholder engagement—ensuring successful delivery of cybersecurity objectives aligned with our customer’s mission goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support and provide oversight of a cybersecurity program, ensuring effective management, collaboration, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide extensive cybersecurity technical knowledge and analysis.
- Provide recommendations and guidance to support the implementation of cybersecurity-focused technical solutions to a wide range of complex cybersecurity problems.
- Share and communicate a comprehensive understanding of and experience with cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts in the required technical field, and have full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Monitor, provide weekly updates, and potential action items on the progress of cybersecurity-related legislation as they work their way through the Congressional process and provide a synopsis on impacts on cybersecurity.
- Provide continual monitoring and updates on the concurrent budget resolution and other Congressional actions that potentially impact federal cybersecurity and the healthcare sector.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree and 15 years total experience.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting a cybersecurity Senior Leadership team
- Possess subject matter expert (SME) in-depth knowledge on business- customer relations, activities, federal governance, corporate practices, and operations of large federal cyber organizations.
- Federal Experience desired
- Understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks desired (FISMA and NIST)
