The Role
RapidScale is seeking a visionary and growth-oriented Head of Consulting Services & Cloud Transformation to define, lead, and grow a strategic services business that augments and expands our existing Hybrid Managed Cloud Services offering. This is a pivotal leadership role accountable for designing the business plan, implementing the operating model, and delivering a full-scope professional services organization aligned to high-growth domains including AI, Cybersecurity, FinOps, Application Modernization, and IT Assessments.Ā This leader will be accountable for growing the business from $20M to $100M+, increasing professional services contribution from 10% to 30% of overall revenue, while establishing global delivery excellence, scaling capabilities, and delivering meaningful outcomes for enterprise clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Growth Leadership
- Define and execute the strategic business plan to build the professional services function.
- Design and implement the associated operating model, resource strategy, and delivery framework.
- Drive profitable growth with full P&L responsibility and accountability.
- Develop and scale service lines including AI, Cybersecurity, FinOps, Application Modernization and Migration, IT and Security Assessments.
Operational Excellence & Delivery Innovation
- Lead accurate financial forecasting, utilization planning, and cost management to ensure effective margin delivery.
- Establish and manage a global delivery model leveraging both in-house capabilities and near/offshore partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align with Cloud Managed Services to accelerate broader revenue growth.
Talent, Client, & Market Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team capable of both selling and delivering high-impact engagements.
- Partner with the broader Go-to-Market (GTM) team to generate demand, build pipeline, and close business.
- Elevate RapidScaleās strategic value with clients, positioning the company as a trusted transformation advisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years of leadership experience in professional services, consulting, or cloud transformation roles.
- Bachelorās degree in related discipline and 12+ yearsā experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 10 yearsā experience; a Ph.D. and 7 yearsā experience in a related field; or 16 yearsā experience in a related field.
- 7+ yearsā experience in a management or leadership role.
- Proven P&L ownership and demonstrated success scaling high-growth services businesses.
- Strong financial acumen, operational excellence, and strategic planning capability.
- Experience developing global delivery models and managing diverse resource ecosystems.
- Expertise in cloud, AI, security, modernization, and digital transformation domains.
- Ability to engage C-level clients and build high-impact advisory relationships.
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across GTM, Product, and Delivery teams.
- Track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Experienced in cloud transformation, consulting, professional services, or MSP leadership roles, with a demonstrated track record of leading customer-facing digital transformation initiatives focused on AI/ML, Data Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Application Modernization in a managed cloud services or consulting environment.
- Experience executing AI-driven and security-focused engagements and working with enterprise and/or mid-market customers to modernize legacy environments.
- Deep experience and understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in transformation and security services.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security, DevOps, compliance frameworks, AI-driven automation, and data management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience executing professional services engagements in industries such as Healthcare, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, SaaS, or Retail/E-Commerce.
- Industry certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect
- AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or similar credentials demonstrating cybersecurity leadership in cloud environments.
