ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) positions support the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of a life-cycle security model that develops, maintains, and dispositions the Government Customer Division information systems, services, and data, and safeguards their confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The ISSO coordinates with system owners to ensure systems are operated and maintained in accordance with security policies and practices and reports all information system security incidents through the appropriate Government Agency channels. Some of the applications and tool sets that are currently being used to perform the ISSO support functions are Joint Cybersecurity Authorization Management (JCAM), Telos Xacta, GITLAB, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, SharePoint, Splunk, BigFix, and Tenable Security Center. Vendors are responsible for supporting additional applications and tool sets as needed. Vendors are required to provide input regarding Interconnection Security Agreement (ISA) and Security Assessment Report on an as needed basis.

SKILLS

• Experience with compliance standards including National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), Common Criteria, Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) and SANS Institute
• Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development environments
• Demonstrated level of experience in information security practices within the federal and/or state governments
• Previous hands-on technical experience demonstrated in networking, system administration, and development
• Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipelines Virtualization, software-defined infrastructure and working knowledge of cloud computing technologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Top Secret Clearance required
• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field
• 6+ years of experience in IT security or a related field

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) highly recommended
• Cloud certification preferred

We are seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Senior in support of a government customer that manages the minimum baseline information system security controls to ensure that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the government agency’s computer systems, networks, and information are maintained and supports the assurance of secure information sharing within the customer and its partners. The team is managing and modernizing a life-cycle security model that develops, maintains, and dispositions information systems, services, and data, and safeguards their confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The team also manages the minimum baseline Information System security controls to ensure that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the government agency’s computer systems.
