Introduction to the job 

As a security specialist in the Security Technology Operations team, you will be responsible for ASML Security tooling. This role combines enabling agile practices with day-to-day technical operations. With a strong team focus and collaboration mindset, you will work with Security Technology colleagues and stakeholders to ensure reliable and continuous security operations, increasing the organization's resiliency against a range of security risks.

Role and responsibilities 

In this position, you will plan and organize for the team as well as perform day-to-day security operations using various technologies, enabling agile practices and hosting agile ceremonies such as the stand-ups, plannings and retrospectives, fostering an agile mindset and culture within the team. 

You will align with stakeholders within security, as well as within the sectors to enhance operational excellence and drive continuous improvement within the team, coordinating with engineering, IT, the business, compliance and risk teams to implement security controls, policies, procedures, exception requests and process improvements. 

The operations team within Security Technology consists of both onsite and offshore colleagues focused on the operations and maintenance of systems and applications supporting ASML’s Security function. 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Perform day-to-day security operations using various technologies to provide security services. 

  • Maintenance of security technologies used by other teams within ASML in collaboration with IT teams and monitor performance and uptime of key security tools.  

  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues to fix malfunctions and provide technical support. 

  • Design operational services and documenting operational procedures that foster business continuity and include fallback scenarios. 

  • Participate in cross-team projects focused on enhancing and improving capabilities and technologies to ensure they are fit for operational purpose and meet stakeholder demand.  

  • Identify opportunities for enhancements of operational efficiency and drive initiatives geared to implement them.   

Education and experience 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or demonstrated experience and affinity with the topics.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and transformations; agile certifications are a plus (e.g. PSM II, SAFe, ICAgile). 

  • 3+ years professional experience working with IT environments and familiarity with security tooling and capabilities (e.g., eDiscovery, Purview, O365, SIEM/SOAR, EDR, vulnerability scanners). 

  • Understanding of IT domains and Cybersecurity concepts such as IT infrastructure, information protection, change management and processes, network, endpoint and cloud Security. 

  • Experience with developing automation scripts to enhance security monitoring and reporting using secure coding practices.

A CISSP, CISM, CCSP or comparable certification is a plus.
