Description
Missoula College at the University of Montana invites qualified individuals to apply for Adjunct Instructor positions with the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Program of the Department of Business & Technology. The department is seeking individuals to teach Information Technology and Cybersecurity courses. The ideal candidate holds a passion for teaching and whose teaching methods involve engaging students in active learning of Information Technology and Cybersecurity.
A successful candidate will have the ability to effectively teach Information Technology and Computer Science coursework, engage students in either face-to-face or online learning and discovery, and to utilize innovative teaching techniques in pursuit of delivering high-quality instruction and student assessment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a similar field
- Teaching experience, preferably at the college level
- Ability to integrate appropriate technology and software in teaching
- Ability to work effectively within a team of other professors
- Knowledge of policy, ethics, and legal ramifications as well as ability to write well and help students understand the ethical frameworks of IT and Cybersecurity
- Knowledge of Operating Systems, Virtualization, Ethical Hacking, and Cybersecurity in general is preferred
Preferred Industry certifications:
- COMPTIA A+, Security+, and Network+
- Cisco CCNA
- Ec2 CEH
