Information Technology and Cybersecurity Adjunct

Missoula College at the University of Montana invites qualified individuals to apply for Adjunct Instructor positions with the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Program of the Department of Business & Technology. The department is seeking individuals to teach Information Technology and Cybersecurity courses. The ideal candidate holds a passion for teaching and whose teaching methods involve engaging students in active learning of Information Technology and Cybersecurity.

A successful candidate will have the ability to effectively teach Information Technology and Computer Science coursework, engage students in either face-to-face or online learning and discovery, and to utilize innovative teaching techniques in pursuit of delivering high-quality instruction and student assessment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a similar field
• Teaching experience, preferably at the college level
• Ability to integrate appropriate technology and software in teaching
• Ability to work effectively within a team of other professors
• Knowledge of policy, ethics, and legal ramifications as well as ability to write well and help students understand the ethical frameworks of IT and Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of Operating Systems, Virtualization, Ethical Hacking, and Cybersecurity in general is preferred

Preferred Industry certifications:

• COMPTIA A+, Security+, and Network+
• Cisco CCNA
• Ec2 CEH
